Too fitting.

Found it through Mad Men’s Aaron Staton on Ken Cosgrove and the Season Closer: The Stream: GQ on TV: GQ

Season 5 of Mad Men has ended, not with a bang, but with a particularly evocative James Bond theme song. “You only live twice,” Nancy Sinatra crooned as the characters embraced their new lives: Don as reluctant starmaker, Peggy as powerful executive, Roger as enlightenment-seeker, Joan as captain of the Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce ship, and Pete as a man who has finally seen his own shadow. Ken Cosgrove (played by Aaron Staton) was far ahead of everyone, having already changed identities when he dropped one pen name (science fiction writer Ben Hargrove) for another (Cheever-esque storyteller, Dave Algonquin). Throughout the season, Ken has seemed impervious to the tide of darkness engulfing his coworkers. He loves his wife; he vents his frustrations through a secret short story-writing career; and he doesn’t have any weapons ominously stashed in his office. Yet he still managed to make one of the season’s more cutthroat power plays, eliminating longtime rival Pete Campbell from a potential account in one deft, spontaneous move. In a conversation with GQ, Staton shared his thoughts on the Season 5 finale, pondered whether Ken is secretly the office feminist, and confessed that he’s still haunted by seeing one of his castmates play dead.

"People can’t understand why I don’t want to be a full-time actress,” she says, “but school life keeps me in touch with my friends. It keeps me in touch with reality. It makes me feel normal. Let’s be honest: I have enough money never to have to work again, but I would never want that. Learning keeps me motivated."

What a sensible young woman. She’s still impressing me.

In hopes of restoring some sanity to her schedule, she will go back to school in the fall somewhere closer to home.

I’ve been increasingly impressed by this young lady over the years, and I’m well excited that she’s going to be at Oxford in the fall. Hope those six-week breaks + long vac help with making and promoting great films/fashion!

JMMA’s Erika posted this at JMMA Facebook and it’s making everyone sentimental for “old John.” Do you miss this guy?

Man who doesn’t try. Man who thinks he’ll never look like a rock star. Man who admits to not having much experience with women.

Who is this man and what have we done with him?!

Jokes aside, yes, I do miss this guy.
